Join Hello Neighbor staff at our office for an open house and gallery opening celebrating the stories and perspectives of refugee and immigrant neighbors in Pittsburgh. Meet staff from across the organization and learn more about the programs and community connections that support families on their journey from arrival to belonging.

The evening will feature an exhibition of original photography created by students in Hello Neighbor’s Study Buddy program. Students were given disposable film cameras and invited to capture what matters most to them. The result is a series of visual autobiographies that offers viewers a glimpse of Pittsburgh through the eyes of the next generation of Pittsburghers.

This event is free and open to the public. Please register in advance at tinyurl.com/HNOpenHouse to help us plan for attendance. Light refreshments will be provided.

Thank you to Bodega Film and Artists Image Resource for making this exhibition possible!

We’re still beaming after last week’s Community Day event! 🥹

Over 350 of our new neighbors and community members joined us in the park for a joyful afternoon of celebration, connection, and tons of fun. It was such a special day and a true reminder of the strength and kindness of our neighbor. We have so many people to thank for making it possible!

☀️ Representative Lindsay Powell, Ampelio De Anda from the Office of Immigrant & Refugee Affairs, and board members Kristen Hemmings & Raihan Izimbetova for joining us to speak about the importance of this work.
💙 Our partners Carnegie Library, Carnegie Museums, Latino Community Center, Trying Together, Literacy Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Regional Transit, Nazareth Prep, and Backyard Nature Pittsburgh for tabling and activities.
🎶 Performers Pittsburgh Xiabao Waist Drum, Pittsburgh Indonesian Line Dance, and Felix Fataki for bringing the music, energy, and dance!
🍲 Chaykhana, Novaria Coffee, Maissa's Kitchen, and Secretos de Mis Abuelos for providing delicious food for all our neighbors.
🎈 Mike the Balloon Guy for caricature art & airbrush tattoos.
📸 The talented South Breeze Photograpy for capturing these beautiful moments.
🥰 And of course, our team, supporters, and everyone who came out to celebrate with us!
