ACT Math is not just about knowing how to eventually get to an answer.

Sometimes, the only way to raise your score is to know the shortcuts. One common shortcut is to use the answer format and your calculator strategically. If an equation asks for x-values, for instance, one option is to move everything to one side, graph it, and look for the zeros.

Test-optional admissions is not gone everywhere, but the trend is changing. Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Brown, MIT, and other highly selective colleges have moved back toward requiring SAT or ACT scores.

Did you know your ACT score strategy does not have to depend on one perfect test day?

ACT superscoring uses your highest section scores across multiple test dates to calculate a new composite score. That means a retake can help if you improve in English, math, or reading, even if another section stays the same.
