Heidi Joy is an award-winning, genre-spanning vocalist with decades of performance experience and a reputation for powerful vocals, emotional depth, and a commanding stage presence.

Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Heidi began singing publicly at age 6. From early church solos and school musicals to her first paid wedding gig at 15, music has always been at the heart of her story.

She went on to study Opera Performance at The University of Iowa, then returned to Omaha to launch a 20+ year music career that included five solo CDs, two Omaha Arts and Entertainment Awards (Best Gospel; Best Classical), performer at the beloved Jazz on the Green concert series, singer of our National Anthem at a multitude of events including the U.S. Olympic Swim Trials, and countless performances across weddings, corporate events, private concerts, and major public stages.

With a background in everything from opera to soul, jazz, rock, gospel, and funk, she has led bands, recorded albums, sung at prestigious events, and performed at a wide range of public and private events across the country - and even to the island of Guam, consistently leaving audiences awestruck by the experience. She is beyond excited to begin a new joy ride with Heidi & The Joy Riders - coming to you in January, 2026!!

Thomas H. Tucker Jr. is an accomplished keyboardist, bandleader, and music director whose extraordinary career spans more than five decades. Known for his smooth, soulful touch and natural ear for music, Thomas brings depth, emotion, and elegance to every performance.

A lifelong Milwaukee musician and now a welcome addition to the Arizona music scene, Thomas has performed with a wide array of artists and bands across jazz, soul, gospel, and blues. His versatility and artistry have made him a sought-after presence at weddings, restaurants, golf clubs, churches, and special events throughout his career.

As the former Music Director for Signature Dance Company and City Ballet Theater, Thomas has crafted countless inspiring musical experiences that moved both dancers and audiences alike. His talent, professionalism, and heart for music make him an invaluable part of Heidi & The Joy Riders.

Matt Laschen and Heidi Joy have been sizzling on stage together for over seven years. Now, they embark on a new musical adventure, Heidi & The Joy Riders!

Matt has performed in professional-level bands since 2001, bringing both technical mastery and emotional depth to every show. His guitar work captivates audiences and energizes the stage with a dynamic presence and boundless creativity.

A versatile and accomplished player, Matt has a strong affinity for many genres. His true passion lies in collaborating with fellow musicians to create unforgettable performances that leave audiences wanting more.

Chris Tussing brings years of live and studio experience across every style imaginable - Blues, Rock, Soul, Gospel, Funk, Country, and Pop. Whether he’s driving the rhythm section at a festival, laying it down in a casino show, or locking in at a club gig, Chris’s precision and pocket groove keep the band tight and the crowd moving.

He plays with the philosophy that “the drummer’s job is to make everyone else feel like playing.” With every beat, Chris delivers emotion, energy, and an irresistible groove that will have you dancing in your seat—or on the floor for sure.
