June’s calendar is officially up! My bake days are zig-zagging a little this month thanks to summer break keeping us busy with horse camps, horse shows, great report card celebration trips, and cycle breaks sprinkled throughout the month.

Thank you all so much for rolling with the schedule changes and your continued support of my small business through all the busy seasons of life.

I did add a farmers market date toward the end of the month and I’m really hoping this rainy weather settles down before then. 🙏

We’re selling gift certificates for TK’s Take & Bake pizzas! You can choose and pay for any of the pizza options shown in the first picture before 6/8.
After 6/18, I’ll get your gift certificates to you. Then you can simply call TK’s anytime before January 1, 2027, place your order, and pay using your gift certificates. Easy dinner + supporting rescue animals = a win-win! ❤️

Taking a little baking break this week.

I’m trading in my apron for boots for Memorial Day weekend and heading out for some much needed horse time with my husband and friends. 🐴

⛈️The weather is doing weather things⛈️
I’ve been watching the weather for Saturday all week. We’ve gone from one source saying rain to most saying storms. It looks like all the really severe stuff is going to be further north.
Unfortunately I’m going to have to reschedule our farmers market day. I will be opening up preorders with a limited menu for Saturday pick up. Ordering for the rest of my schedule will open back up after Saturday. If you need to, you can always send me a message or comment below for your order.

If the weather cooperates, I will be at Storie Family Farms Farmers Market (21994 Spruce Rd. Waynesville) this Saturday from 8AM–1PM

I have checked 3 weather apps so far… and only ONE of them is predicting rain, so we’re choosing optimism over panic for now 😂 If it looks like we’re going to get washed out, I’ll pivot to Saturday morning preorder pickups instead. I will have to make that call by Thursday morning, so make sure you are following my page!

For now though, I’m prepping like market day is ON! 🙌

I will try to have a little bit of everything but I’m only planning on doing 3–4 sourdough focaccia flavors this week, so I need to know… what are the big requests?? What flavors do you HAVE to have this weekend? 👀🍞

What a busy Mother’s Day week for Western Rise Bread Co. 💐

Between bread orders, gift baskets, baking over 300 cookies this week (my biggest cookie week yet!), and heading off Saturday night to compete in a horse show with my daughter, it’s been a full week 😅 here’s just a few pictures I managed to remember to get this week.

It’s a busy month for us and I had to make some last minute adjustments but the schedule is up for May! I am planning on being at Storie’s Farmers Market Saturday May 16th, as long as the weather cooperates. 🤞🏻♥️
