Coroner Identifies Mother, Toddler, and Aunt K*lled in West Jackson Triple Homicide
JACKSON, MS — Family members and neighbors are mourning following a devastating weekend sh**ting in South Jackson that claimed the lives of a young mother, her toddler son, and her sister. Hinds County Coroner Jeramiah Howard has officially identified the victims as 25-year-old Keyana Weathersby, her 2-year-old son Camari Givens, and her 30-year-old sister, Erica Weathersby.
According to the Jackson Police Department, officers responded to an emergency call regarding an aggravated assault at approximately 10:10 PM on Saturday, June 27. When authorities arrived at the home in the 300 block of Queen Alexandria Lane, they discovered all three victims deceased inside from multiple g*nsh*t wounds. Coroner reports indicate that all three victims, including the 2-year-old child, suffered catastrophic injuries.
Jackson Police Chief RaShall Brackney stated that investigators are actively processing evidence and working to piece together the events leading up to the sh**ting. As of Monday morning, police have not yet released information regarding a potential suspect, motive, or whether there were signs of forced entry into the residence.
The investigation remains open, and local authorities are urging anyone with information to step forward. A red 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage bearing Mississippi license plate HSI 205—was found at Manhattan Park in North Jackson.
According to Brown, the vehicle was unoccupied at the time of its recovery. Authorities are currently processing the car for evidence as investigators work to identify and develop suspect information.

‼️ TEXAS FAMILY DEVASTATED AFTER ALLEGED DRUNK DRIVER CRASH KILLS FATHER, UNBORN BABY
A Texas family is mourning an unimaginable loss after police say a Jeep crashed head-on into a Chevy Tahoe, killing one man, claiming the life of an unborn baby, and leaving several others seriously injured.
The crash happened Saturday evening on West Loop 281 in Longview at around 7:50 p.m. as five family members were on their way to dinner. According to investigators, 45-year-old Casey Johnson allegedly crossed the median, went airborne and struck the family’s vehicle while intoxicated.
Johnson has been charged with intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and intoxication assault causing serious bodily injury. She is being held on bonds totaling $500,000.
Among those killed was Clayton Smith, whose wife, Chelsea Smith, said she knew almost immediately after the collision that her husband had died.
“I looked at my husband and I knew… I knew he was gone,” she told CBS19. She then turned her attention to the rest of her family, including her young son and injured cousin, trying to keep them calm until help arrived.
Chelsea described Clayton as a devoted husband, an incredible father to their two sons, a youth sports coach, and someone who would do anything for anyone.
The crash also claimed the life of the unborn daughter of Chelsea’s cousin, Hallie Baker, who was 25 weeks pregnant with a miracle baby. She was admitted into the ICU following the crash. Hallie’s husband, Kaleb Baker, remains hospitalized with a severe head injury. The couple had celebrated their wedding just two months before the tragedy.
“It makes me feel really angry because it all could have been avoided,” Chelsea said. “I’d still have my husband. My boys would still have their dad. My cousin would still have her baby.”
Despite their overwhelming grief, the family hopes sharing their story will encourage others to never get behind the wheel while impaired.
“If our story helps make changes or saves anybody else from having to go through this, then it’s worth it,” Chelsea said.
As the investigation continues, the Smith and Baker families are left grieving the lives forever changed by what police allege was a completely preventable crash.
A GoFundMe has been set up for the families to assist with funeral costs, and a separate meal train is set up for the Bakers. I will put the links in the comments.

Thirty-five seconds.
That's how long Tammie Jo Baker was inside the toll booth at the beach entrance in Daytona Beach Shores before the driver of a pickup truck crashed into her booth, killing her, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.
Now, the Florida woman who drove her truck into the toll booth has been taken into custody, the Volusia Sheriff's Office said Wednesday morning.
