When the house gets an extension, the backyard deserves the same energy. 🏡✨
This Phoenix transformation was an outdoor remodel to match the homeowner’s newly expanded home, and it turned out absolutely stunning. We laid artificial turf on both sides of a sweeping radius walkway, creating two distinct spaces to relax and play. Charcoal gravel and warm slate tones tie seamlessly into the home’s palette, and a beautiful Chinese pistache tree anchors the whole design lit up at night alongside the walkway to make the space just as gorgeous after dark as it is during the day.
It was genuinely a pleasure bringing this vision to life. This is exactly the kind of project that reminds us why we love what we do.

We sat down with K**a, a former client of Sun Control Landscapes, to talk about transforming her backyard into the dream space she needed within a specific timeframe, and how we delivered. Because the project was completed on schedule, she’s spent the past year hosting multiple baby showers and even a wedding in her backyard, creating memories she simply couldn’t have made before. Another Arizona backyard, completely reimagined✨

We replaced deteriorating sod that was compromising the block wall with premium artificial turf, giving the family a safe, mud-free area for kids and dogs to play right beside the pool.🏊 A custom retaining wall adds both structure and visual depth, while some of the homeowners existing boulders were intentionally worked into the design to keep the landscape feeling organic and established.🏞️

Finished with a selection of palms and shrubs, this yard finally has the energy, texture, and purpose it deserved, complete with a new lounge space built for everyday enjoyment.⛱️
