THIS is why even beginner quilters should consider using a longarmer to finish their quilts. When I started out, I quilted my own things on my domestic machine, and despite having a background in garments and bags and sewing for lots and lots of years, I just wasn’t happy with my finished quilts. Quilting is a different skill set than piecing. This is my cousin’s SECOND quilt, the piecing was not perfect, but the results after longarming are STUNNING!!!! It’s absolutely galaxies away from how my second quilt looked…. Gorgeous 😍

Time for Summer Hours!!! We take it a little slower this time of year, so here’s what you can expect for turnaround times: Quilts received by 5/15 will be returned before 5/25, June quilts will be returned in July (specific dates TBA), and July quilts will be returned in August! I hope you have a summer full of fun ☀️🍉⛱️🧵🪡✂️

I was on a podcast!! and I got to talking at QuiltCon this year, and she invited me on the show. Our episode dropped today! Give it a listen to hear about all things Panto Shop and some general musings on quilting.

It ain't sexy, but it works! My fabric is stored in these numbered bins, and then I have a spreadsheet that tells me what is where! For the garment fabric, there's an additional barcode on the fabric that corresponds with the record because black bamboo knit looks like black cotton knit looks like.... Right now I probably have 6 garment bins, 4 quilting, and some misc. specialty bins. They stack six high pretty easily, ask me how I know ;)
