It's about that time again.
Making things shiny and bright.

Some tips...
1. NJ state law prohibits contractors from asking for more than 1/3 of the estimated cost up front. If they ask for more...they are already doing it wrong. Take it as a warning.
2. All jobs over $500 should always have a written contract.
3. Never pay until a final walk through is complete. A good contractor will want a final walk through anyway to make sure you're 100% happy.
4. Be willing to pay more now for a good contractor to avoid later headaches.

This drawer was beyond repair. It's been glued and screwed before. Originally, it was veneered particle board.
I rebuilt it with solid pine and stained/sealed to match the original shape, size, and colors. Mitered corners, dado fit bottom, etc.

What a lovely day to install a baluster.
