To mark the group's 20th anniversary, QUEEN ELEPHANTINE is releasing two EPs digitally through Bandcamp and streaming platforms. AMULET, out on July 14th, is a set of instrumental improvisations, a coda in spirit to the Tribute to Atrophos series. LIVE ONCE out on August 1st, ls a live studio session of new material, originally recorded for a virtual pandemic era concert organized by Boston's ONCE group. The video of "Starless Wanderer" from LIVE ONCE is available on YouTube. Formed in 2006 in Hong Kong by Indian musician Indrayudh Shome, and currently based in Philadelphia, QUEEN ELEPHANTINE is a nebulous worship of heavy mood and time, a pilgrimage through cosmic sludge. The shapeshifting post-apocalyptic rock band draws from psychedelia, doom, drone, and noise as well as free jazz and sacred music from around the world.
