Hailing from the vibrant city of Philadelphia, PA, Accord is a sextet acappella Christian group whose voices blend seamlessly to uplift spirits and touch hearts. Today, Accord stands as a shining example of brotherhood and family, as the group now consist
of two sets of cousins. Each member brings a unique vocal prowess and dedication to their craft, blending their voices to create rich, intricate melodies that uplift and inspire. Silburn Dehaney and Adrian Chambers anchor the group with their deep, resonant bass and baritone range, while the tenors Lydell Baynard, Rayshawn Davidson, Jamal Todd, and Garry Dawkins blend seamlessly to create a signature sound. Influenced by musical legends like, Take 6, The Gaither Vocal Band and Acappella to name a few, Accord combines its traditional gospel roots with contemporary acappella techniques, creating a sound that is both timeless and modern. Over the years, Accord has performed at numerous churches, events, and festivals, captivating audiences with their soulful interpretations and original compositions. In January 2024, Accord had the distinct honor of performing their heartfelt rendition of the black national anthem, "Lift Every Voice and Sing," at the iconic Filmore Philadelphia for the Inauguration celebration of Mayor Cherelle Parker. Their performance resonated deeply, capturing the essence of unity and resilience that defines both their music and the city they proudly call home.
