I had a great time joining Tacony LAB and our community for Northeast 250 + Threads of History, celebrating everything that makes Northeast Philadelphia such a special place to call home!
Throughout the year, this series has brought neighbors together to learn about our local history through hands-on community artmaking, while highlighting the stories that have shaped our neighborhoods.
Thank you to Mural Arts Philadelphia, Tacony LAB, and all of the local leaders, volunteers, and community partners whose dedication continues to make Northeast Philadelphia stronger.

‼️Reminder: Next Tuesday, our office is hosting Veteran Office Hours from 12-4pm!
Join us for Veteran Office Hours on July 14th from 12:00–4:00pm at my district office!
A Veteran Service Officer will be on hand to assist veterans and their families with benefits, claims, and available resources
We look forward to serving those who served our country🇺🇸
I am deeply disturbed by the apparent arson at the Northeast Philadelphia Islamic Center. There is no place in our community for violence, hatred, or acts of intimidation—especially against a house of worship.
Northeast Philadelphia is one of the most diverse parts of our city. It is home to people of many cultures, backgrounds, and faiths. Every religion should be able to practice safely and without fear.
I have spoken with 2nd Police District Captain Andrew DiSanto, Senator Tina Tartaglione, and Representative Anthony Bellmon to offer my assistance and support as the investigation moves forward. I am grateful to our first responders for their quick response, and I urge anyone with information to assist our law enforcement as they investigate this incident.
We stand with the congregation and remain united in rejecting violence and hate in all its forms.

Meet Levi—the newest member of our district office family! 🐾
A member of our team recently adopted him, and he’s already made himself right at home. He may not answer the phones, but he’s quickly mastered the art of boosting morale and making everyone smile. Safe to say Levi has been the best new addition to our office!
Stop by our district office to meet our sweetest new team member! You can find us at 12361 Academy Road.

Northeast Philadelphia came together to celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday at FreedomFest! 🇺🇸
I was happy to join and celebrate with the neighborhood as we marked this special occasion together.
From live music and family activities to an incredible fireworks display along the Delaware River, it was a great evening showcasing the community spirit that makes our neighborhoods so special.
Shoutout to the Northeast Times for capturing some great highlights from the event!

I was honored to attend the America 250 National Time Capsule Burial Ceremony and take part in preserving this moment for future generations.
Thank you to Mayor Cherelle Parker and the America250 Congressional Commission for bringing together such an incredible event. It was great to join City Commissioner Lisa Deeley and so many others in honoring our history in the very city where the Declaration of Independence was signed 250 years ago.
As Philadelphians, we have the unique privilege of calling the birthplace of American democracy home. Today was a reminder of the responsibility we all share to preserve that legacy for generations to come.
Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸
Today, America celebrates 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence!
What began as the Great American Experiment has become the longest lasting constitutional democracy in the world—a testament to the enduring ideals of freedom, self-government, and opportunity.
As we celebrate this historic 4th of July, we reflect on our nation’s journey, honor those who came before us, and look ahead with hope for the generations still to come.
Happy 250th birthday, America! 🇺🇸🎇

Fireworks are a fun way to celebrate—but safety should always come first.
Before lighting fireworks this holiday, take a moment to review these important guidelines from the Philadelphia Police Department. Knowing what’s allowed, what’s prohibited, and how to celebrate responsibly can help keep our neighborhoods safe while protecting our veterans, first responders, children, pets, and everyone enjoying the holiday.
Please take a minute to read through these important reminders, and have a safe and happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

It was great spending time with the kids at St. Katherine of Siena Day Camp talking about the meaning of the Fourth of July and what America’s upcoming 250th birthday represents.
Thank you for the including me in your day and for giving me the opportunity to spend the morning with such a great group of young learners! 🇺🇸
