There are so many fab and interesting psychedelic programs and books and lectures and trainings. But where do you find out how to actually roll out ketamine assisted psychotherapy into your outpatient practice? Here. You find out here.
Despite training programs filled with every kind of professional, psychotherapists are some of the only folx getting trained that will need the detailed, concrete nuts and bots information necessary to actually provide KAP, in a safe sound, ethical, informed way.
Almost nobody's teaching licensed clinicians the concrete, operational stuff it actually takes to bring ketamine into an outpatient practice. That's the gap this training fills. Not a general psychedelic overview. Not a program that has to teach half the people in the course “active listening” or “holding space”. Rather a focus on the things we need to fully understand, like how to assess clinical candidacy, harm reduction models with orange flagged clients, tracking integration in protocol design, preparing for and managing difficult sessions. And all the nuts and bolts too — prescriber relationships, malpractice insurance, session spacing, at-home protocols, consent forms — the stuff that gets 3 minutes in most programs but that we need if we are going to try to schedule our first KAP client.
