Brandan Bidois played middle infield and converted to pitching full time with us back on our 2019 tour.
Yesterday he was called up to the Big Leagues with the Pittsburgh Pirates. After the tour, Brandan made the Australian 18U national team and threw a 7 inning blinder against Japan which helped Australia secure 4th place at the 2019 18u World Cup. He signed with Pittsburgh at the World Cup.
Our best advice? Play multiple positions and be a 2-way guy. Be an athlete. You never know what can happen…..it’s the only reason why I played professional baseball as well. I’ve seen too many position players in my career who ran out of tools, and could have signed professionally or extended their careers if they just pitched.
