We are thrilled to see Nasir Young’s work featured this month in both the University of Delaware MFA Thesis Exhibition and Nowhere/Everywhere, his first solo exhibition with Uffner & Liu in New York, NY.

Drawing from observations gathered while traveling, skateboarding, and moving through cities, Young’s paintings explore the everyday details of the built environment: storefronts, signage, discarded objects, and places that often go unnoticed. Rather than focusing on recognizable landmarks, he is drawn to the in-between spaces and visual details that make a place feel familiar, lived in, and distinctly its own.

“There is an ability to read a landscape you’ve never been in and find belonging.” - Nasir Young

Young’s work will also be featured next month at Elsewhere Art Fair at YOWIE in Philadelphia, organized by Blah Blah Gallery.

Featured:
1. “Expired”, Oil on canvas, 30” x 24”
2. “Another Man’s Trash”, Oil on panel, 12” x 12”
3. “Sight Seeing”, Oil on panel, 10” x 18” (Two panels)
