Philadelphia high schoolers gather around newly donated mating tanks, from Aquaneering Inc., to make observations of breeding pairs of zebrafish on Day 1 of the BioEYES program. Mating tanks are an integral part of the week-long lab and we bring them in and out of schools on a weekly basis. A big thank you to Aquaneering for their generous donation.

Ms. Mitzel's seventh-grade Science class at Green Street has teamed up with Project Bioeyes for an intriguing project focused on zebrafish. These small tropical fish, originating from Southeast Asia, possess similarities to humans in terms of cell structure and DNA. Through this partnership, GSA scholars will explore these model organisms across their entire life cycle.
