Another great earthship greenhouse Build day in Philadelphia with Norris Square Neighborhood Project!

Had a wonderful time today at the Centre County United Way Day of Caring clearing the Blue Course running path. Thanks to all who came out!

Check out the progress on the earthship greenhouse at the Norris Square Neighborhood Project! This awesome stop-motion video was filmed by a 3D-printed robot made by one of the volunteers! So far, the foundation has been dug out and the first row of tires is laid.

As we wrap up our very first semester as a new local initiative, we would like to thank everyone who has helped make Build Brigades a success thus far. We're looking forward to all that the future for Build Brigades holds! Stay tuned for updates on future trips to our Pittsburgh and Philadelphia projects, and have a fantastic winter break!!

Welcome to the official page of the new local initiative of Penn State University's chapter of Global Brigades called Build Brigades!!! We focus our work on local, sustainable design/build projects in at-risk communities in State College, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, or other surrounding areas. Together we will fundraise, coordinate, and participate in small, weekend-long trips to carry out these projects.
