If you have more than one child, each child has a different experience of you because each one meets a different version of who you are. One child met you when you were discovering parenthood, another when you were healing, and maybe another when you were overwhelmed or stronger than before. That’s why two children growing up under the same roof can remember two completely different homes. Parenting isn’t static, it evolves. Who you were emotionally, mentally, and spiritually during their early years defines how each of them felt seen, loved, or supported. This awareness can bring compassion for yourself and for your children, because understanding this truth helps you repair, reframe, and reconnect beyond old misunderstandings.
