Dave Grohl explains pretty accurately why I like to write songs and what it can do for you and your mental health and voicing yourself. I’ve always been one to talk my way around events or explore emotions or feelings head on and not to tell stories really in my songs, this is why and why it’s hard for me to let songs go. Add to this the desire to put the puzzles of human emotion and literal vibrations together and you have why I like to record as well as a creative mechanism to use a musical paintbrush.
