A summary of the Azure outage:
On October 29-30, 2025, a problem with a core Microsoft internet service caused widespread slowdowns and connection failures for many customers and Microsoft services, including the Azure Portal. This happened because an accidental settings change got past the system's safety checks due to a software bug, forcing Microsoft to freeze all changes and restore the system to its last working state.
