!!!!!*****THE GOVERNMENT HAS CONFIRMED THAT AUTOMATIC DEPOSITS OF $1,000 WILL BE MADE TO ELIGIBLE SENIORS' BANK ACCOUNTS ON AUGUST 7*****!!!!
THE COVID-19 pandemic has hit the world hard, and seniors have been one of the most vulnerable groups. Many seniors have lost their jobs or have had to reduce their working hours due to health concerns. This has resulted in financial difficulties for many low-income seniors who are already struggling to make ends meet.

The government has recognized this issue and has taken steps to provide financial assistance to those in need. The automatic deposit of $1,000 is part of the government's COVID-19 Economic Response Plan. This plan aims to provide financial support to Canadians who are facing financial difficulties due to the pandemic.

To be eligible for the automatic deposit, you must be a senior who is eligible for the Old Age Security (OAS) pension and the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS). You must also have filed your 2019 tax return and have an income of less than $28,150 for a single person or less than $46,605 for a couple. If you meet these criteria, you don't need to apply for the deposit. The deposit will be made automatically to your bank account on August 7th.
