Jeremy Lin is my new hero. And not just because he went for 28 and 8 the other night. It's because he's destroyed every stereotype you can possibly think of: That Asians can't play, no one from the Ivy League is good enough for the NBA, undrafted players have no chance. He went for 28 and 8 the other night. It has taken Mike D'Antoni, the guy who coached Steve Nash for forever, to realize that the most athletic guy is not the best point guard. And to hear him say that he can actually call plays and know they will be run. C'mon, Coach, get a clue. How much would any of us give to have a son who has graduated from Harvard and has played in the NBA? Oh, BTW, he had no D-I offers coming out of high school!
