This song is called "worrying has never changed a thing" and it has changed my life in so many ways.

Last night as I was laying in bed, I realized I’d made a big mistake. In the past I would’ve spent hours sick with anxiety about it, unable to sleep.

But thanks to this song, I just said hello to my worry.

I asked myself if there was anything I could do about it at 930pm on a Wednesday night. The answer was no.

So I let it go knowing that I would do what I could, when I could.

And then I fell asleep.

I wrote this song a year ago and in that time it has completely changed my relationship to worrying.

And I’ve gotten hundreds of messages from others navigating really hard moments who’ve been saved by this song too.

Whether you’re worried about a mistake, a job, a personal loss, a scary diagnosis, an upcoming test…this song can be an incredibly powerful tool for identifying + acting on what’s in your control and letting go of what’s not.

The first step to dealing with difficult emotions is to acknowledge them. And that can be surprisingly hard to do, especially when you weren’t allowed to talk about your difficult emotions when you were a kid and learned to stuff them down.

And I think that’s what’s so powerful about this song: it helps you quickly recognize that worry is beginning to run the show and interrupt the pattern.

It’s a helpful entry point into mindful emotional awareness and I wish I’d had it when I was a very anxious child. But I’m so glad to have it now.

You can find this and many more catchy songs with mindful lyrics on my album “ocean of emotions” which is available everywhere.
