Rep. Roni Green
06/04/2026
When we talk about men of purpose, we’re talking about people who lead through action. Rennie Parker has consistently answered the call to serve, support, and encourage others throughout our community.
Whether mentoring young people, advocating for neighborhood growth, or helping others navigate opportunities, he has demonstrated a commitment to leaving every space better than he found it.
It’s an honor to recognize him as one of the 190th District’s Men of Purpose.

June is recognized nationwide as a month dedicated to celebrating fathers and honoring Men’s Health Month. In the 190th District, we are proud to expand that recognition through our Men of Purpose Month.
Throughout June, I am honored to recognize outstanding men across our community who are leading by example, serving with purpose, and making a real and lasting impact in the lives of others. These men are fathers, mentors, professionals, and community leaders whose work strengthens families, uplifts neighborhoods, and moves the 190th District forward.
This initiative is about shining a light on those who often work quietly but consistently to build, support, and inspire. Their impact deserves to be seen, celebrated, and amplified.
We look forward to highlighting these remarkable Men of Purpose all month long.
On the ground at 25th & Lehigh
I visited Quality Care Health Center (QCHC) alongside Rennie Parker from the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood & Community Action, Ernest Gardner Community Affairs Liaison for Councilwoman At-Large Katherine Gilmore Richardson, and Melissa Williams Director of the Mayor’s Business Action Team, to hear directly from the community about the needs, concerns, and opportunities in the neighborhood.
From youth to seniors, the focus remains on making sure residents feel seen, supported, and connected to resources that help the community thrive.
