Spent time with the team this week getting the Prescriptive Pruning Qualification (PPQ) put on by Arizona Community Tree Council

The biggest takeaway for us: there’s a right (and a wrong) way to prune a tree.

A big part of that is focusing on principles of good structure and correcting poor structure over time. When that’s done well, it helps avoid a lot of problems down the road, it allows the tree to reach its full potential, and it supports the overall health and longevity of the tree.

It’s something we’re continuing to learn and apply, but it’s already shaping how we think about pruning and long-term tree care.
