On Wednesday, we commemorated our End of Year Celebration. It was a night of togetherness and gratitude. We are grateful to the students, tutors, parents, local leaders, civic organizations, family, and friends who showed up not only on Wednesday, but throughout the entire year.

We want to give a big shout-out to the City of Pawtucket, Major Don Grebien, and its wonderful team for recognizing the tireless work that the board members of Excel and Ready Community Program engage in to make the organization a success. A special thank you to Elizabeth Moreira, the City's Deputy Director of Administration, for representing the citations to Ronny Soares, Josiene Rodrigues, Edimilson Lamdin, and Nelida Semedo.

Thank you to our distinguished guests, our students and their families, Professor Monica Teixeira de Sousa, Representative Karen Alzate, Representative Jennifer Stewart, Attorney Nana Amma Ankrah, Charles "Chachi" Carvalho, Dr. Elizabeth Gomes, and our photographer Paulo Cabral.

As we come to the end of another successful year, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our donors, supporters, parents, volunteers, and partners who make our mission possible.

Your commitment to the academic success of our students enables us to provide meaningful support and opportunities to the students and families we serve. We are especially thankful to the parents who trust our work and to the community members who dedicate their time and resources to promote ERCP’s mission each year.

As we continue to grow, we welcome the support of those who share our vision. Contributions from individuals and organizations help us expand our reach and strengthen our impact.

Thank you for being an essential part of our journey and for believing in the power of education.

This past summer, ERCP students were welcomed to Brown University with open arms by Brown students who volunteered to give us a tour of the university, and at the end, we roared, "Go Brown!" Today, we roar “Go Brown, and You Are Not Alone” due to the disturbing and tragic events that occurred yesterday at Brown University. Our hearts go out to the victims, their families, friends, and the entire Brown community during this incredibly difficult time.

Our 2024 year couldn't have started with better news. Thankful to the of Pawtucket and it's leaders.

We are thrilled to announce that Excel and Ready Community Program (ERCP) has been awarded $50,000 as part of the City of Pawtucket’s Community Impact and Education Grants, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). This grant is part of a larger initiative in which $1.5 million was distributed to local nonprofits, educational programs, and youth-serving organizations that are making a meaningful difference in our city.
With this generous support, ERCP will expand our programming to better serve students in grades 2 through 12. The funding will allow us to strengthen academic support, career exploration opportunities, and social-emotional learning resources for the youth in our community. We are especially excited to continue addressing the educational disparities heightened by the COVID-19 pandemic, and to foster resilience, confidence, and readiness in every student we reach.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Donald R. Grebien, the Pawtucket City Council, and the Office of Planning and Redevelopment for recognizing the importance of our mission and investing in the future of our youth.
