Good morning club members. The effort by Lee Weingart to remove the president of the RPCC failed when 51 persons from the governing body showed up. The group needed 75 persons to make a Quorum and have a vote.
Many things did not happen. One the meeting was never opened. Second the pledge was not said. It seems the group forgot that they had an agenda for the meeting but never followed it.
For my part I would have voted "no" to remove any leadership thru a side meeting. There were many around me that felt the same. It seems that my "no" vote would not have been the only one.
I respect what was being tried and I understand the motivation for the movement.
We must act thru a meeting of the entire governing body not just by a select few.
Does the RPCC need to change some things? Absolutely! They must get ahead of the curve and not always be behind it.
We all need understand, in politics we must find the middle. This country was built on discussion and agreement, not one way only.
Sincerely:
VP Parma Republican Club
