use humor has been one of the most powerful ways I’ve found to heal. I grew up in Connecticut and now live in Florida with my husband, Shaun, and our two dogs, Ellie and Mia. I’m happiest at the beach, camping under the stars, baking something sweet, or gathering with friends over a glass of wine at an outdoor bar. I also love quiet cafés where I can sip a smoothie, tea, or coffee and simply slow down. My family and close-knit group of friends have been a constant support through my struggles with anxiety, PTSD, and panic attacks, reminding me I don’t have to face them alone. My memoir is about finding strength in vulnerability and hope in connection, and in the future, I plan to write a children’s book series that weaves resilience and imagination together. More than anything, I want my words to let others know that they are not alone—and that healing, in all its imperfect forms, is possible.
