Larry the Cable Guy’s Git-R-Done Golf Classic Raises $750,000 for Charity

LINCOLN, Neb. — The annual Git-R-Done Golf Classic concluded its two-day run June 1 after raising $750,000. The event brought together professional athletes, platinum-selling musicians and local supporters to benefit the Git-R-Done Foundation’s mission of providing assistance to charitable organizations that help children and veterans, including Bryan Health.

The weekend kicked off May 31 with a celebrity gala held at Hawks Championship Center. Guests enjoyed an evening of philanthropy and entertainment on the indoor turf before moving to the green the following morning for a competitive round of golf.

"We Got-R-Done,” said Larry the Cable Guy. "We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our donors and the commitment of our celebrity guests."

A star-studded roster of celebrities joined foundation founder Larry the Cable Guy for the festivities. The guest list featured Super Bowl winners Rex Burkhead and Mark Rypien alongside a diverse group of entertainers. Musical icons including, Bruce Hall of REO Speedwagon and Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC participated in both the gala and the tournament.

Other notable attendees included Duck Dynasty’s Willie and Korie Robertson, Heisman Trophy winners Johnny Rodgers and Eric Crouch and World Series champions David Wells and Jim Leyritz, all of whom dedicated their time to help the foundation reach its fundraising milestone.

Since its inception, The Git-R-Done Foundation has donated over $8.1 million to children’s hospitals, veterans’ groups and community organizations nationwide.
