We know tax season just ended.

However, I have a question for you.

Do You Need to Fill Out a New W-4?

If you want to avoid an unexpected tax bill — or if you’d prefer to adjust your paycheck so you take home more money now and receive a smaller refund later — it’s important to make sure your tax withholding is set properly.

Life changes like getting married, having a child, or changes to your income can all affect how much tax should be withheld.

The IRS offers a helpful tool called the Tax Withholding Estimator at IRS.gov/withholding. It uses your recent pay statements, details about any other income you have, and your latest tax return to estimate how much tax should be withheld from each paycheck. It can also tell you whether you should update your Form W 4.

But here’s the part many people find challenging:

Understanding the results, knowing what to enter, and making the right adjustments can be confusing — and that’s exactly where I come in.

As a tax professional, I can walk you through the estimator, interpret the results, and help you update your withholding correctly.

Whether you want to avoid a surprise tax bill, maximize your take home pay, or plan around major life changes, I can make sure your withholding aligns with your goals.

If the estimator suggests changes, I can also help you complete a new Form W 4 and explain how to submit it to your employer.

The sooner you adjust your withholding, the more smoothly the changes can be spread out throughout the rest of the year.

Waiting means fewer pay periods to make up the difference, which can make each paycheck change more noticeable.

If you’d like personalized guidance, I’m here to help you get it right. Just let me know when you’re ready to get started.

I’m not just a tax professional you see once a year.

I offer more than tax preparation—I provide education and personalized support, genuinely caring about your financial health, not just the numbers.

I take the time to explain your tax situation, ensuring you feel confident year after year, rather than just rushed through tax season.

If you’re looking for a tax professional who:

Values relationships over volume
Educates instead of just prepares
Offers personalized, year-round support

I would love to work with you.

I’m currently accepting new clients—schedule your consultation today!

🚨 **Important Tax Refund Update!** 🚨
Starting **September 30, 2025**, the IRS will **stop mailing paper refund checks**. Instead, refunds will be sent electronically—like direct deposit or prepaid cards.

💡 Why the change?
✅ Electronic payments are faster and safer
✅ Less chance of getting lost or stolen
✅ Saves money and helps the system run better

📌 Already getting your refund by direct deposit? You’re good to go!
📌 Still getting paper checks? It’s time to explore options like:
💳 Prepaid debit cards (watch for fees)
📱 Digital wallets like PayPal
🏦 Low-cost bank accounts through programs like BankOn or FDIC’s GetBanked

If you don’t have a bank account, don’t worry—there are solutions to help you get your refund smoothly.

Do you know how to protect yourself from fraudulent tax preparers and avoid being scammed?
Do you know the red flags.... 👇

The IRS stresses the importance of carefully selecting a tax professional, as taxpayers are responsible for their returns even if someone else prepares them.

Fraudulent preparers can cause identity theft and financial harm.

The IRS offers resources like the IRS Directory of Federal Tax Return Preparers and their website to help you choose wisely.

Free tax preparation is available through Free File, VITA (for low-to-moderate income, elderly, and disabled individuals), and TCE (for those 60 and older).

They encourage goin on IRS.gov and creating an account and also getting an IP-PIN.

"Ghost" Preparers: Be wary of preparers who refuse to sign the return they prepare for you. Legitimate preparers will always sign returns and provide their Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)

Choose a preparer available year-round, and not just for tax season.

Check their credentials, discuss fees upfront, and ensure they provide proper documentation.

Always review your return before signing and have refunds directly deposited into your account. You responsible for the return.
