It’s that time of year again when the “fitness/nutrition” influencers are preparing to run ads selling you their “guaranteed weight loss meal.”
Spoiler Alert 🚨 That meal plan will only last 30 days (short term tool). It’ll likely contain mostly smoothies, create scarcity among carbs, and will come with no instructions for modifying for food allergies, intolerances, or preference.
My question to you is what’s your plan for Feb 1? Rinse and repeat?
What if you invested your money and time for 30 days learning and developing skills that will last you the rest of the year?
The self-determination theory contends that individuals who are able to successfully navigate challenges, maintain control of decisions/choices, and feel connection to supportive others are MORE LIKELY to experience long term success on their health journey.
