Who else is getting ready for the FLL Unearthed season? My homeschooled soon-to-be middle schooler is super excited to get started! We just bought this spike prime kit and wow! It’s pretty amazing! He is having a blast building the different attachments and playing around with the coding.

Let’s take a look at what’s included for the language arts curriculum from I’m really excited to use this curriculum this year! I bought three different subjects to try since I really enjoyed the few L.A. novels we covered last school year. We will be trying out the full year for Science and Social Studies, in addition to the Language Arts. I’ll be showing the rest of the curriculum in later videos so be sure to follow and ❤️ this post! We played, we laughed, we practiced taking turns, thinking critically, and managing emotions. But we also paused for a deeper conversation—because this version of the game doesn’t include any dark-skinned characters. It was a great opportunity to talk about representation, inclusion, and how even toys can shape what kids see as “normal” or “important.” Our original Guess Who set had more diverse characters, but after it was damaged, we were gifted this one. We’re still grateful for the fun—but we don’t ignore what’s missing. So while we play, we also talk:🗣 Why don’t all skin tones show up here? 🧠 What does that mean? 💬 How can we make sure everyone feels seen? Play is powerful.
