until her husband was being treated with aggressive chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. After sitting with him and observing numerous doctor visits, she noticed that his hospital gown was both uncomfortable and impractical. As a wife and caregiver, the seed of her mission had been planted and she decided to put her skills and knowledge to work. “I wanted to make life easier for my husband by creating a functional hospital gown for his comfort.” The result was a Krisana original that proved satisfactory for the patient but functional for the hospital staff. The new gown was roomy, silky, and comfortable but was also helpful for staff members to complete necessary treatments such as PICC and IV lines. After the brave fight, her family underwent during his cancer battle, he unfortunately passed away in 2008. With extensive experience in business and fashion, in Thailand and in the United States, she formulated a business plan that would later be her brand to share with others. While mourning her late husband, Krisana spent hours self-reflecting and searching for the beauty and purpose of life. Her answer came in the form of fabric and Krisana Vigus Custom Designs Clothing was born. Krisana believes each person has a mission and purpose and we need to embrace and share that true beauty as often as possible. She wanted to expand her brand and bring ready to wear affordable clothing to others in California. In 2013, she opened her first store in Anaheim Hills, California. After several years in the clothing business, Krisana felt her purpose was only partially fulfilled. She remembered during her late husband's chemotherapy, he was injected with a donor stem cell. The family was over joyed and thankful to the donors who donated his/her stem cells. New hope arose because the new stem cells were going to fight and kill the bad cancer cells. Excited as they were, disappointment struck when the cancer killing stem cells began killing healthy cells resulting in horrible skin conditions. Within a week, Krisana’s husband’s skin consisted of inflamed blisters that looked like a rash and were painful to even look at. They applied lotion numerous times but nothing seemed to help. The hospital lotion resulted in a thick, messy, and uncomfortable coat of wax that did not hydrate his skin at all. As she watched her husband suffer, Krisana’s heart was breaking because she felt helpless. With her husband, as her inspiration and the same passion that drove her to start her clothing line, she formulated another plan to further help others and their skin. In July 2017, Krisana Vigus Skincare was launched. As a caregiver, mother and entrepreneur; Krisana Vigus’s vision became clear. Encouraging individuals to feel their absolute best. “The beauty of life is living life, while using the beauty held within, the nature of life.” With her late husband in her heart, her mission is to do just what her husband told her to do with his last breath, “Don’t give up.” and she doesn’t plan to.
