Yesterday was a meaningful reminder of what can happen when a community gathers around a clear need.

At a recent Community and Family Engagement (CAFE) gathering, hosted by a School Champion, a local middle school named a gap in weekend food support for students through the end of the school year. In a short amount of time, people and organizations stepped in with generosity and action.

Because of that shared effort, 211 weekend food bags were packed, fully covering the need through the rest of the school year.

It was simple. Practical. Deeply impactful. This is the heartbeat of Village School Partnerships.

Eighteen volunteers in one room, packing bags that will quietly make their way home in backpacks over the coming weeks.

This is what it looks like when a village forms around a school.

And this is only the beginning.
