On the Second Day of Christmas my Gov'ner gave to me:
Two new commissioners
And an owl in a pine tree.

For over a year, one seat on Washington's Fish and Wildlife Commission has sat empty. Bullying and abuse drove out another Commissioner -- a scientist who pushed for a balance between hunting and conservation. A third Commissioner is serving a full year after his term expired.

While we wait for Governor Jay Inslee to appoint commissioners and address the crisis within Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife, our wildlife suffers, as do our wild lands and the people who enjoy them.
