In 2003, Nutrition Services introduced the Healthy Living…for life campaign, a community outreach initiative designed to raise awareness about nutrition and physical activity, encourage organizations to work collaboratively and mobilize the community to make Alameda County a model for healthy eating and physical activity. Health Living…for life offers a broad spectrum of programs aimed at changing behaviors to create healthy lifestyles. The campaign’s creative and innovative programs are being developed and executed in schools, with seniors, and in collaboration with a wide range of community partners whose programs reach low-income, food stamp eligible residents across Alameda County.
