The loud, unexpected noises, bright flashes, crowded spaces, and changes in routine can lead to sensory overload, anxiety, or distress. Every child experiences the holiday differently, and that's okay.

If your family is celebrating tonight, here are a few ideas that may help:
✨ Bring noise-canceling headphones or ear defenders.
✨ Watch fireworks from a distance or indoors if that's more comfortable.
✨ Create a quiet, calming space to take breaks when needed.
✨ Prepare your child ahead of time by talking about what to expect.
✨ Remember that leaving early or skipping the fireworks is always a valid choice.

There is no "right" way to celebrate. The best celebration is one where your child feels safe, supported, and understood.
