In addition to health coaching, I've worked in clinical research in academic medical centers, where the most gratifying part of my job was guiding patients and their families through the daunting medical system and helping them feel empowered by identifying the challenges within their control. During that time, I also was the primary caregiver for my sweet and brave late husband, who passed away from brain cancer in 2007. That tragedy formed my soul and taught me the value of love of others and of ourselves. I'm the luckiest lady in the world, with a wonderful husband and two wonderful kids. Since my daughter was born in 2010, I've been perfecting my Mom-a-saurus skills, which include chauffeur, short order cook, laundress, money manager, sherpa, and all around cheerleader - all while managing to carve out time for serious self-care because I knows how critical my well-being is to those who depend on me.
