Tyler Lane Construction, Inc is currently seeking an experienced Project Accountant at our Chicago, IL location. The Project Accountant has the responsibility for performing the job accounting functions and acts as the Accounting's liaison between the company's Project Management and external parties to ensure the timely and accurate completion of assigned jobs in accordance with accounting and industry standards, contractual obligations, and legal/government regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accurate set-up and maintenance of assigned job records in the job ledger system

• Communicate with project managers, vendors/subs, and other parties to manage job transactions, issue/resolution, and draw requirements

• Review, approve and ensure proper coding of subcontractor/vendor invoices for assigned jobs

• Communicate with external parties to timely manage job funding, a collection of lien waivers, subcontractor payments, and respond promptly to job inquiries

Required experience:

• 2 years minimum Project Accounting experience in the construction industry

• Timberline Accounting software experience is a BIG plus

• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office programs required
