Our edible/herb garden is growing like crazy and we can't wait for you to see/sample it while you're there.

Hey families!
We miss you so and wanted to open up our space this summer for you to come and play in the mud!
As you may know, PTA made our dreams come true and partnered with us to build an edible garden in addition to a fully furnished mud kitchen. This space allows students to explore the outdoors in a whole new way- and it was an absolute HIT before school let out. We want to share this with you and let you see for yourself the magic it makes.
We are currently looking at opening our gate the last two Mondays of July for you and your kiddos of all ages to come and play.
We supply the fun, you supply the sunscreen and smiles.

After calling and hunting through multiple Lowe's, we were able to snag this lime green tool chest to store and hold my stuff for lessons in the library.

I'll be at Westwood slinging books on the learning bus from 6-8. 🎉🚌

Sorry we've been quiet, but we are back and read for summer reading fun!
The learning bus is our library on wheels and you can catch Mrs Penner on it every Thursday in June from 6-8 at Westwood. That's June 11th, 18th, and 25th.
If that doesn't work for you, you can catch the bus at other stops all around Norman. Checked out books can be returned to the bus or Roo when school is back in session.

When it's time to put away the kitchen for summer break 😭.
2 months of dreaming up the best plans to see our students explore, play, and create in this dreamy outdoor space.

Our first crew of 1st graders came through the mud kitchen today!
They got to visit the plants they planted and helped themself to the flowers and herbs to make some yummy smelling mud pies.
We even got out the mortar and pestle so they could explore and experiment even further.

Happy "Turned in and Tatted" day!
We're still accepting overdue books- so please send any you find to school with your Roughrider!
