THE HARDEST LESSON I HAVE EVER LEARNED IS THAT LIFE IS NOT GUARANTEED. So many of us, myself included, take life for granted.
6 years ago today, at 6:30pm, I received a call that forever changed my life.
I received a call that my dad had died. He was only 45. I didn't know it then, but I was forever changed from that call. My mental health was affected. I was angry.
Once some time had passed, and had started the healing process, I realized that my dad's death was proof that life is not guaranteed. It is unexpected and can be short. That was when I decided to make a change.
I decided to live with purpose. I started to reflect on my life up to that point, and realized I needed to make a change. So my goal now is to live life for me, as well as for my son and my husband.
