Ronny Hustvedt and his dog Bailey the yellow lab had a fun outing chasing upland birds. Be sure to bring along plenty of water for your canine hunting buddy. This hunt ended earlier than planned because it was just too hot. Bailey drank all her water early and was very happy (and cooler) after a dip in the lake. She still had a great time learning how to chase birds in the woods.

Ronny and I are ready to do the Minnesota Fishing Challenge next weekend (May 30) which is virtual this year. We will be on a body of water we know and love, but YOU can be part of it as well. Be sure to buy your bait and tackle at those locally owned Mom & Pop baitshops! They are going to have a tough season with minnows and could use all the business they can get if we want them to stick around!
