Christmas Miracles do happen

We have had some really yummy cucs come off our plant this year! I made some watermelon cucumber juice and fridge pickles! This is about our fourth haul and our first haul where we got more than two! There are two more we could pull but I think they need a few more days and then they will be PERFECT!

Turklin & Blanche have an announcement:
“My mommy and daddy have an over abundance of eggs! Can you help them out and buy our Sisters’ fresh butt nuggets? They are $3/dozen or $4/18pk”

Chicken and Turkey update:
Blanche our female turkey has befriended one of our OG hens Opal (our Australop) it has been super sweet and cute to watch Opal become friends with the turkeys and the baby Buffs.

Turklin our Tom has taken on the role of a Rooster to Blanche and the baby Buffs. He is such a gentleman when he finds a good graze spot he lets everyone know with some very cute tweets. He occasionally does gobble and it’s cute. He will gobble back at his own gobble if we catch it on video and replay it for him.

Lucy Loo one of our OG Hens has become sort of a Mother to the baby Buffs. She will correct them from time to time but she has been a good hen to them.

The baby Buffs are still spoiled rotten love attention from their Tenders (our daughters) Even Blanche and Turklin love attention from them too.

It has been rewarding and very calming to sit and watch the birds do mini feathered velociraptor things. Watermelon is their favorite thing in the world and to scratch in the garden beds of radishes and carrots we planted for them. 😂

Here is one of our cucs 🥒 that we found Friday! Funny thing is on Monday it was the one in the second picture. There are many ittiy bitty ones that will surely be ready here soon! I’m so excited to make some pickles and maybe even come Cucumber Watermelon juice!

We have never stared a vegetable garden ever and I’m so happy with out it has turned out! I’m also super excited to have fresh veggies here at home and some fun new things for our chickens! Update on our chickens 🐓 coming soon.
