She also volunteers for organizations that bring arts and culture to our communities and help our neighbors in need. Please join us in thanking Robin for everything she does for the Hudson Valley!

Throughout this week, Pattern will share key data from our latest report on migration and its effects on the Hudson Valley. People have always moved back and forth between our region and New York City, but the net number of metro-area folks moving into our communities has been especially high since the pandemic. Since 2019, approximately 100,000 people from New York City moved into our nine counties. Here are the data from 2021-2022. Read our latest report here: https://www.pattern-for-progress.org/portfolio/moving-in-moving-out-2026-the-effects-of-domestic-migration-on-populations-and-regional-incomes-in-the-hudson-valley/
EDIT: The image below has been updated. Although the aggregate data were all correct, one county total was wrong and another county was missing inflow data from Richmond County (Staten Island). All numbers in the chart are now accurate.
