Have you ever been pulled over? So, you know there's a rhythm to the process. But, this time its different. The Officer has returned to their vehicle and you’re sitting there waiting and you start thinking “dang, I’m getting a ticket for sure”.

A few minutes pass and you start questioning everything. You wonder “did I pay that ticket I got back in 2015? Is there a chance I have a warrant?”

More minutes go by and you start thinking “What the heck is taking so long".

The Officer is still in their Tahoe and NOW you know this is serious trouble and you start deciding who will have bail money....

The Officer finally comes back to your window, gives you a verbal warning and tells you to drive safe and have a good day.

You are immediately relieved and a little confused as you wonder what just happened. We were not there, but here's a likely explanation.

The Officer most likely dropped your drivers license between the seat, center console and computer rack and needed some extra time to find it and fish it out. It was a tense few moments for both you and the Officer.
