2024! Soup with a cop is back!

Detective Robert Moore teamed up with 6th Precinct Captain Lee Douglas, Officer Toye Muhammad and Officer Sam Okercheri to bring "Soup with a Cop" to So. Orange Avenue and Salem St.
The afternoon event drew over 100 people to the intersection to see what was going on because a shooting had taken place a block away moments earlier. To their surprise the officers were serving up some delicious, hot soup, crackers and conversation. 97 cups of delicious hot soup was served to the diverse groups of citizens that showed up to partake in this event. This event was welcomed by the community as well as the officers who patrol this area. It had to be one of the most diverse event in recent times. Everyone came out. The seniors, the business owners, the neighborhood folks, the clergy community, bus drivers, bankers, ex-offenders and even City Hall employees stopped by to engage the community and enjoy the delicious hot soup. @ South Orange Grocery
