We’re proud to celebrate the generosity of our donor families through Robin Hood’s “Lemonaid” initiative. 🍋
As part of this special experience, families and their children are bringing philanthropy to life by hosting lemonade stands. With Lemonaid kits that explain exactly how each dollar raised helps fight poverty, these young changemakers are learning firsthand the impact of giving back.
Thank you to the families who are making this initiative so meaningful.

New research from Robin Hood and Columbia University shows that rent-stabilized housing keeps 140,000 New Yorkers out of poverty every year — reducing the poverty rate among stabilized tenants by 22%.
But the story doesn't stop there.
Over 40% of NYC renters live in rent-stabilized apartments, and they are disproportionately the city's most vulnerable: seniors, people living with health conditions, and long-term residents with deep roots in their communities. Two-thirds live below 200% of the poverty line.
The NYC Rent Guidelines Board votes on rent increases this Thursday. Our Poverty Tracker report — the first of its kind to quantify the anti-poverty impact of rent stabilization — gives the Board the data it needs to make that decision with the full picture in view.

The energy around the Knicks right now is a reminder of what makes New York special: people from every walk of life showing up for the city we love.
That’s the spirit Robin Hood has championed for nearly four decades — bringing New Yorkers together for a greater cause, supporting their neighbors, and building a stronger city for all.
Moments like this remind us what Robin Hood has always believed: New York is worth showing up for.

Last week, six founders took the stage at the Catalyst Demo Day - and it was a night worth celebrating.
After five months of building tech solutions for economic mobility with funding, coaching, and mentorship through the Catalyst program at Blue Ridge Labs at Robin Hood, these founders shared their work with a room full of investors, partners, and advocates.
The evening opened with a fireside chat featuring Ben Lerer, Managing Partner at Lerer Hippeau, and @ Emary Aronson, Chief Knowledge Officer and Senior Advisor to the CEO at Robin Hood, followed by live pitches from all six companies: Keyway Homes, Bruce, Groupr, GoSprout, Roxxem, and Thimble.io.
Congratulations to each of these founders on reaching this milestone. The work you’re doing at the intersection of technology and social impact truly matters.
