“I felt really good because I did something I wanted to do.”
-Joe R.
Employment program participant Joe R. recently received a certificate of completion from GameU after successfully completing their four-year STEAM-based training. The hands-on training included sessions on Power Point and Excel, as well as G-Suite programs, web programming and 3-D design.
“I really like getting a chance to use the computer more,” he says, noting that he hopes it will help him in his job search. Joe previously worked in a warehouse for a lighting company and his job coach, Lily Howard says he’d be an asset to any company.
“He’s very invested in being a good employee and contributing to the team,” she says. “He’s dedicated, and just awesome to be around and he really contributes to the culture.”

Participants and support staff from Job Path’s Supported Living program enjoyed a showing of the bio-pic “Michael” recently after Job Path rented out a theater for a matinee. Participant Erica P. gave it 5 out of 5 stars.
“It was really nice. I had a great time. I was dancing and singing,” she said. Asked for a rendition of her favorite hit she sang the chorus of “Beat It” like a pro. It was definitely a “Thriller” of an afternoon!
