AUDITION NOTICE for The Mansion of Many Apartments, opening at Burning Coal Theatre in Raleigh, NC June 11th.

Please submit a headshot, resume and one minute dramatic monologue to [email protected] no later than April 25th. Callbacks will be held in person on April 27th.

Rehearsals begin May 11th. All actors must be able to commit to the rehearsal and performance schedule. Rehearsals will include weekends, a few weekday afternoons and evenings.

Seeking the following:

ROWEN (LEAD) - Female, Any ethnicity, age range 30 - 45. This is an incredibly demanding role, requiring an exceptionally strong, fearless actor with a broad emotional range and physical expressiveness.

CASIA / DELIVERY PERSON / FORUM MEMBER - Female, any ethnicity, 40s. Seeking an actor capable of creating three distinct characters.
CASIA: Quick-witted, easily frustrated, huge-hearted but prefers logic, wary of emotional messiness.
DELIVERY PERSON: Overly chipper, friendly and “familiar” with Rowen.
FORUM MEMBER: A participant in a prosopagnosia online forum.

NURSE / BEN / FORUM MEMBER - Male, any ethnicity, 20s - mid 30s. Seeking an actor capable of creating three distinct characters.
NURSE: Compassionate, Observant, Knowledgeable.
BEN: Rowen’s best friend since college. Rowen has always been the rock in Sam’s emotionally messy life.
FORUM MEMBER: A participant in a prosopagnosia online forum.

NEUROLOGIST / ROWEN'S BOSS / FORUM MEMBER - Female, any ethnicity, mid 30s. Seeking an actor capable of creating three distinct characters.
NEUROLOGIST - Straightforward but kind. Deeply fascinated by her field but can seem cavalier with the lack of answers she can provide Rowen and her family.
ROWEN's BOSS- Speaks in catch phrases and clichés about teamwork but is, in reality, indifferent to his employees.
FORUM MEMBER- A participant in a prosopagnosia online forum.

OLIVER / A STRANGER / FORUM MEMBER- Male, any ethnicity, 40s. Seeking an actor capable of creating three distinct characters.
Oliver - Rowen’s Brother. Believes Rowen’s prosopagnosia can be healed through alternative medicine and suggests sound baths, tapping and “herbs”.
A STRANGER - A frightening, predatory man who follows Rowen home after she mistakes him for Oliver.
FORUM MEMBER - A participant in a prosopagnosia online forum.
