BYST started right here in Riverdale and has since served 1,000+ children through basketball and leadership development over the last 11 years! 🏀✨

Yesterday, Coach Drew & Coach Julia visited a true staple, the (RNH), which has served the community since 1936 through youth programming, a community café, and a food pantry. ❤️ They met with Crystal and Sharon (fellow natives!) to explore a partnership that would bring basketball instruction and leadership development to RNH students this summer. ☀️🏀

What began as a simple interest meeting quickly turned into a powerful conversation about shared values, high standards, and a commitment to providing the best opportunities for young people in the Bronx. 💪🏽🧠

The summer is bright, and we’re so excited to see where this work continues to grow! 🌟🔥

Today we wrapped up our 7 week Spring Cohort of workshops with 12 students from 💙

With their profiles built, we focused on developing 4 LinkedIn posts for them to use throughout the upcoming weeks.

Let me introduce you to these 4 amazing human beings who I had the pleasure of working alongside with today, that dropped gems of knowledge and encouragement to the high school students ⬇️

Edward Peralta (._ ) - A graduate from & inductee with various experience in professional sports, media relations, and customer service. He just secured a job with the within their communications department!

Antonella Colon ( )- just wrapped up her freshmen year at , pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Biology while earning a 3.0 GPA and securing a job as a peer leader with over the summer!

Niomi Peralta ( ) - a rising junior at who just concluded her 2nd year studying Business and concentrating in Accounting & Sustainable Business while earning a 3.45 GPA along with being enrolled in the Masters in Accounting Program.
