There is no time like Coronatime to finally make a cake your daughter has been asking for a long long time. In her words “forever”. An elaborate Ariel themed cake morphed into a simpler refined and more mature design over the years. Thankfully, it was approved of!

We’re living in uncertain times, worried about our vulnerable family members. Worried about those that didn’t take this seriously and continued denying the facts while potentially exposing others. Worried about our stubborn parents that refuse to Listen and distance themselves for their own well being. Feeling heartbroken for those that have already experienced a loss. These things apparently weighed heavily on my heart over the weekend and out of nowhere I was overcome with anxiety. I quickly disconnected from social media for the day, I prayed for a calm heart and meditated on what current events mean and what lays ahead. Then I enjoyed some down time and decided I needed to create. Sugar art is my therapy. Decorating cake and cookies is my happy place. Hence these gorgeous cake pops. I realize i need to up my game within the industry and decided there is no better time to practice. It was therapeutic and a soul calming activity. What are you doing to stay busy and distracted?

Up up and away! I’m very happy with the final outcome. Look at that baby 🦒 . I enjoyed creating all the elements. Plenty but still not overdone . Some extra elements were added to the basket at the event site but I forgot to snap a picture!

Could there be anything cuter than this beautiful piggy prince? Maybe a pig with wings?
This little guy was hard to let go of. He was so adorable from the moment I started shaping his head. 💕

Baby Yoda!!! I know I know, he's all the rage now. But he's also super cute so that's why my daughter picked him for this years mommy daughter collaboration. She baked the cakes, made the frosting, helped cover him, did some shaping and worked on that awesome textured collar. The best year end project. Please press that ❤ and share! Oh, how good to to finally have some down time and try something new. This beauty here was made using striped cake comb. Coconut cake with coconut buttercream layered with chopped up almonds and a chocolate drizzle a la Almond Joy.

There is something comforting about naked cakes, no matter how you dress them up.

Summer is just about over, but this burger here will forever be in my heart. I brought this to a family reunion a few years ago and needless to say no one knew it was cake. One cousin thought it was a plastic container of sorts 😂 All cake and fondant, along with fondant fries. Thanks to for featuring this old guy.
